A warm welcome to all of you who have subscribed to this new website, I hope that you are enjoying the almost daily updates. More importantly, thank you to those who have kindly donated to keep the website advertising and sponsor free. Hopefully you will have noticed that I try to upload a new fell daily, it is interesting for me to do the research to find the details of how and why Wainwright included these fells on his lists, it also gives me the opportunity to delve into my archives for images of each of these fells which brings back some great memories of days out on the hills.
I should make it clear that many of these photographs that I post here will be either replaced or complimented by watercolour sketches or drawings in the future. Currently I am really busy with other things, next week I am speaking at the Dales Day in Kirkby Stephen and then the following week we are down at the biggest event of the year at the BBC Countryfile Live show at Blenheim Palace.
Fells that I add on to the website here are done in a random manner, obviously I have already completed may of the fells on this list but others, such as those in the outlying fells I have still to visit so that gives me a good excuse to get out there and walk. There are now over 20 fells on the website and as you will see I have included a star rating which is really for a bit of fun. However, this system is great for updating information about car parking etc so if you have more up to date details on any of the fells then feel free to drop me a line and I will add them to the relevant page.
Meantime, I am off to get ready for the next events and will try to upload new fells soon.
Thanks for reading.
